Professor of Philosophy Dr. John Sullins has been invited to present three lectures at the University of Palermo in the Robotics Research Group October 18-22nd, 2021. The first lecture is an introduction to robot ethics, the second lecture is on the great philosophical objections to AI, and the last lecture will be on his concept of Artificial Phronesis or machine ethical reasoning. Dr. Sullins is also working closely with Professor Antonio Chella during this visit to set up a set of experiments that will be conducted in Palermo to test the role that inner speech can play in machine human ethical problem solving. This work is part of Dr. Sullins' sabbatical research.
