Dr. Elizabeth Burch, professor in the department of Communication and Media Studies, has been invited to present on a panel at the World Journalism Education Congress (online June 2022). Dr. Burch will discuss best practices in teaching climate change reporting to journalism majors. Journalists play a critical role in raising public awareness of climate change, therefore, journalism educators need to consider how to teach students to report on all aspects of the problem, including environmental justice and the status of refugees.
