Dr. John P. Sullins, professor of philosophy at Sonoma State University, will be at Cal Poly on Thursday, April 20. Sullins will discuss the ethical implications of robotics and their design. His talk will explore groundbreaking experiments utilizing the concept of inner speech found in psychology to create social robots with some glimmers of an ethical conscience. The talk will take place in Bldg. 8 Rm. 123, from 11 a.m. to noon.
