Art History major Raiven Reyna is presenting her research at the Bay Area Undergraduate Art History Symposium at the University of San Francisco on April 20th.
" I got involved in the symposium through Dr. Ch'ien's recommendation. I took her Baroque class last semester (Fall 2023), and she suggested I further study and present my research on the subversion of Dutch seventeenth-century gender norms through Ferdinand Bol's The Crowning of Mirtillo. It's a great opportunity to present research to a different audience. It's honestly been really fun to be involved in an academic setting outside of school. I'm utilizing skills that I have been practicing in my classes. Still, it's been a different process but a welcome one."
