This last February, our students and Director and Assistant Professor Marie Ramirez Downing had the honor of performing the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Water by the Spoonful by Quíara Alegría Hudes, at The Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), Region 7, in Spokane, Washington.
We're delighted to announce that the National Awards Committee of the KCACTF has awarded the production the following four commendations:
- One to Jim Marchbanks for Distinguished Achievement in Performance
- One to Jarrett Galante for Distinguished Achievement in Performance
- One to The Company For Distinguished Achievement in Overcoming Adversity
- One to Theo Bridant for Distinguished Achievement in Tour Technical Direction
These awards are in addition to the Kennedy Center Citizen Artist Award and the Distinguished Achievement in the Facilitation of a Brave Rehearsal Space, which we announced in a Spotlight post in April 2023.
